32-Page One Shot
Fade Is Out Productions
Monday, January 12, 2009 at 9:51PM I had created these characters, RIOT and Fade-Out, almost 8 years ago but there was a problem:
I wasn't doing a damn thing with them. Sure I created a script for the first issue (back when it was just called RIOT.)--and, yeah I had drawn one whole page for it but that was it. 8 years and one script. One lousy page. I was hella lazy and something had to give. After getting sick of not doing anything, I just decided to make a comic starring two characters I created. To just do it, stop thinking about it.
I just decided to plop them into a plot I had come up with which is basically "Fade-Out gets arrested and Riot has to break her out." I never wrote a script, I just simply started drawing pages and added in dialogue as I went through, finalizing it during the inking process. I knew I had to do it this way, otherwise I'd never finish it-I knew myself to well.
Well, it's 32 pages and took me about a year to do and I'm proud of myself for actually finishing something for once-even if I cringe at the artwork now, looking back on it with my 20/20 hindsight.
It can be found in its entirety here.
Hope you enjoy.
