Characters

"Thomas"

Crazed homicidal giant freshly awoken from a two year coma, seeking violent retribution from the Four Bosses Of MAD City-who put him there.  Both he and his love, Jenny, were attacked and murdered for no reason--unfortunately for him, he not only survived, he's become one of them-a meta.  He lives now to annihilate them all-one dead body at a time.

Gwen Wu

Daughter of a genius, little sister of a triad boss-Gwen Wu was a normal girl--once. These days she's cold, remorseless and, quite frankly, completely insane. When her brother was gunned down, her psyche fractured, splitting into two separate personalities within her subconscious. One, her normal self and her normal failings. She thinks, she feels, she gets afraid. Her other self is a loud mouthed, confrontational, impulsive and incredibly violent. The two sides often conflict with one another, but both sides agree on one thing: REVENGE. Oh, and to fulfill a death wish she may or may not actually have. (She does)

Detective Frank Kellerman

Frank Kellerman is as old school as it gets. He's served faithfully on the force for 20 years, 10 of them as a detective in the worst city in the entire country--he's seen it all and doesn't bat so much as an eye.  For the most part, of course--he's only human.  He's currently on the trail of "Thomas", whom he believes is responsible for all the recent dead bodies. He was also the primary Detective on the original case two years ago-unable to close it, due to lack of hard evidence--and a bunch of bullshit.

Detective Anita Eames

Anita Eames is the junior partner to one Frank Kellerman.  Before that, however, she was just a regular officer in the MAD City police department. Passing through the academy with high marks and flying colors, she was well liked by her superiors and respected by her peers despite being one of few women in the force. She was planning to take the Detectives exam and move up in the ranks when she suddenly found herself in the middle of a hostage situation.  Using her smarts, she not only manages to save the hostage but also brings in the perp alive-earning her "hero cop" status with the public and a big time promotion from the top brass.  She asks to go to Homicide, specifically Meta-Human Homicide.  Aided by a photographic memory, she quickly earned the trust and respect of her new partner and is considered one of the best Detectives on the force.

The Four Bosses Of MAD City

MORAL

The Boss of Bosses/Boss of the Northside. The Northside high-rise district is where the wealthy and powerful reside in the city. Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians all make their homes within the towering skyscrapers of the area-and this man rules the roost. Intelligent, cold and completely insane, Moral only believes in one thing: Murder. To him it's a way of life and not a day goes by where he doesn't kill some poor random should just for the hell of it. Although there is something about him that inspires complete loyalty from all bangers in the city, his only known powers are his ability to create "energy claws" from his finger tips that displace matter at a sub-atomic level, effectively allowing him to cut through anything-although his favorite thing to cut is human flesh.

SKEEZ

Boss of the Eastside. The Eastside is less of a district and more of a suburb and is pretty quiet when compared to the other districts within the city limits. Still there are rumors about what goes on over there and none of them paint a particularly pleasant picture. Skeez is not only the boss of the area but also acts as Morals second in command. His ability is that he can phase through solid objects including, but not limited to, the human body. His favorite trick is to phase through a persons rib cage and squeeze their hearts.

 RAZ

Boss of the Southside. The Southside slums are pretty much self explanatory, only the lowest of the low call this their home. Most of the drug trade occurs here under the watch of boss Raz, a strung out maniac who can generate electricity from his body and can even produce lightning from the sky if he so desires. He tends to dip into his own supply, but not so much that it becomes noticeable to the bottom line, and if it wasn't for that fact he'd be potentially the most powerful of the four.

SCRAPE

Boss of the Westside. The Westside club district is also the home to the city's gun running game. The area is open 24/7 due to the high amount of traffic and activity from the entire city looking to unwind. Though certain area establishments are slowly becoming "Meta-only", there are still plenty of places that cater to both crowds and most violence occurs behind closed doors if at all. The big man Scrape is in charge of it all and is quite the intimidating figure even without his ability to convert emotion into physical mass.

RIOT and Fade-Out! is a story of revenge--and a sense of twisted hope.

This is MAD City--A terrible, terrible, place. Once the "City of Tomorrow", it has become the "City of No Hope". Ruled by gang violence and corruption for as long  as most could remember, few could have imagined things getting any worse--except they did. Super powered gang bangers known as "Metas" rose to providence-dividing the city in half between "us" and "them". The police were over  matched, the population was apathetic, no one stood up-they either joined in...or hid.

RIOT and Fade-Out are by-products of this world. Extreme answers to extreme circumstance-essentially fighting fire with gasoline. Two former friends, once drifted apart, now walking the same path. RIOT, one of "them", a rage filled giant who cannot die. Fade-Out, one of "us", a cold psychopath who doesnt care if she does--together they hunt and kill these bangers only looking for revenge, yet, somehow, giving the "City of No Hope" just that. Only in MAD City could a pair of serial killers be a source of inspiration.

Can two maniacs really change the world?
