Crying is no fun

I've been debating whether or not I should write what I'm about to write here, but I pride myself on being honest with my readers, so here it goes.

My brother is very sick, mostly stemming from renal kidney failure (which he's had for over 20 years) so his health has been declining as time has gone by. I helped take care of him, along with my mother, but he was still manageable for lack of a better term. Now that's changed. A month ago, he was admitted to the hospital for heart palpitations and it turns out he would need surgery due to a clogged artery. Long story short, the operation was a success, but his health is still shit; I'd even say it's gotten worse because he spent nearly a month in a hospital bed, making his already weak joints and back worse. Now he needs full time care.

He's always in pain, I don't get any sleep anymore--it took me two days to get this page done because I always had to stop and feed him, or stand him up, or help him walk or whatever. I know, I sound so selfish right now but he needs a nurse and I'm not one. I don't know why he doesn't have one, but until he does, I have to do what I can. Which comes at the expense of everything else, including this comic which I was hoping wouldn't be the case (but this late update indicates otherwise). I hate being late; I always feel like any time I'm late, I lose a reader, and with such a small audience, I can't afford that. Hopefully this doesnt happen again, but if it does, you know why.

On a lighter note, 311's new album Uplifter came out an hour ago! There is much rejoicing in my head. Other than No Doubt, 311 is my other favorite band of all time. They were the first band I ever saw live, and I've got both good and bad memories associated with the band now (female related, isnt that always the way?) but I still love the hell out of them.

My record in Punch-Out!! is an abysmal 12 wins and 34 losses. Title defense mode kicks my fucking ass. I got knocked out by Glass Joe! Good thing I'm not the only one.  (go to 03:10)
